User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:11.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/11.0
Build ID: 20120208012847
Steps to reproduce:
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:11.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/11.0 ID:20120208012847
Mozilla Firefox hotfix 1.0 is shown as "disabled" among the add-ons in Firefox 11 beta.
I used the menu item Check for Updates in Add-ons Manager.
Actual results:
Firefox started to look for add-on updates and did not find any for my normal add-ons, but decided to download an update for the hotfix. However, the download fails, and Firefox shows "try again" item for that hotfix add-on.
Any subsequent usage of "Try again" or "Check for Updates" causes a new download attempt, failing again.
Expected results:
Probably no update should have been tried triggered by that menu item.
I first reported this in bug 727398 as it sounded like possibly related, but after Dave Townsend said there that this is a different bug, I decided to file this separately.

> This is a different bug, we shouldn't be checking for hotfix updates in response to that button at all, or at least if we do then we need to add special logic to handle it.

The buggy behaviour is still there with the newest beta.
