Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:10.0.2) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/10.0.2 Build ID: 20120215223356 Steps to reproduce: Thunderbird affected as well. The "About" dialog, pushing the "Check for Updates" button triggers update process if any update was found. Actual results: Download process is triggered without any interaction (asking if user aims to do this) with user. After completed one gets only the choice "apply update". No choice for canceling is provided. No information about version number of update available, no link to update release notes is available. Expected results: Do the thing which you are promoting, just check if any update is available. Nothing more. If some found, ask user if he/she does want to download it. If some found, give information about version number, release notes yet before user starts download process.
