Summary: deleting an app from the desktop → Restoring an application after deletion on desktop
This might happen on certain devices and having a clear way to regenerate will remove a lot of headaches in device setup.
New flow for triggering "install" on installed apps: "Update App" dialog (same as normal install) will ask to create shortcut and/or to launch the app. Doing so will update the local database with the latest manifest/icon too, to transfer any changes. Flow: Click installed app in the market page.
