Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:10.0.2) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/10.0.2
Build ID: 20120216115113
Steps to reproduce:
Run Firefox, then close it.
Actual results:
Every time I close Firefox on Ubuntu 11.10 64-bit, 2 files appear in the minidumps directory in my profile - uuid.dmp (about .5 megabytes) and uuid.extra (about 1K). This does not happen on my 64-bit Windows 7 Home Premium machine. I haven't noticed anything unusual when I close Firefox, and "about:crashes" says "no crash reports have been submitted".
Expected results:
No dump files should be created (unless, of course, the program is closing as a result of a crash).

The files appear to be created only when "HTML Validator" extension is enabled. I have contacted its developer. In the meantime, how do I go about reading the minidump (noting that I am using the Ubuntu distribution of FF, not one which I've compiled from source).

No minidumps since December 2012. Looks like one of the changes in FF17 (or possibly FF18) fixed this problem.
