This is a request for web hosting for the Mozilla Myanmar community. The domain in question will be mozillamyanmar.org As to the hosting, the server (OVH/MT) that has shorter ping times to Myanmar would be preferred.
What are the requirements for this VPS? How much disk/CPU/RAM do you want? Take a look here for the plans: http://www.ovh.co.uk/vps/
Dumitru, I think the least expensive plan is fine for the start. If the community gets significant traction, we can re-assess at that time.

I think mozilla-myanmar.org would be better, not only for legibility, but to go along with the other community-sites' domain-name format too (e.g. mozilla-antarctica.org). Chit, Gen: please confirm, if this works for you. #offTopic We need to outline/refine the domain-name strategy (for community-sites) too.
Soumya, we have many communities who prefer not to have a hyphen in the domain. Let's keep the request as is. I personally don't think we need to police the community domain name strategy at this level.

Hi, It's important to know if you are OK managing the server yourself, VPS means you will need a person to configure and manage the server. If you only need hosting for a Wordpress blog, maybe we can find a better solution to avoid the need of a person managing the server. If you are installing more cms, please let us know because maybe the lowest vps is not enough. About this last thing, I expect to discuss about a "shared hosting" server for communities with small requirements this Wednesday with IT.
@Gen I'll be happy to help out as a systems administrator for the Myanmar community. I have recently helped out with the migration of the Mozilla UK site over to our new VPS server so would be happy to help you quickly setup everything that your community needs and make sure the server is secure. If there are no objection can we set up a VPS server 2GHz / 512Mb Memory with Debian as our OS.
Acording to the current needs, I think a shared hosting is better to start with. If in the future you need more, we will upgrade to something else. If that's good for you, could you tell me to who I should send the main credentials?
