Steps to reproduce:

Open Earlybird and look at the 'default' home page.


Actual results:

No icon for 'Junk mail settings' under newsgroup


Expected results:

An icon for 'Junk mail settings' under 'Newsgroups', perhaps the same one as under 'Email'

When you click on this setting, what happens? Can you configure the Junk settings under News? Or when you open the account settings through menu do you have an entry for Junk under News?

On my system I'm not having this option under Account settings nor on the account homepage.

I would say the problem isn't the missing icon but the showing of this option under News.

It's not an issue that it's showing up under news. Some people may wish to use Thunderbird's built-in email filter to filter spam in newsgroups. The issue in this case is that the icon is not showing up for the 'Junk mail settings' under 'News', on the Mac at least. I'm able to reproduce this on TB 12.0 alpha.

According to the code that action should not even be shown as it is not prepared. It is only exposed by bug in the code, because you do not have any folder/account selected in the left folder pane. That will be fixed in bug 713277.

When a developer chooses to expose this action as being ready, he should then make sure there is a proper icon.

Bwinton, please reopen if you think otherwise.
