Actual results: It would continue freezing randomly. Expected results: It should never have frozen in the first place. An older version works perfectly (ver 3.6...)
Summary: Older version (3.6...) doesn't freeze randomly; but latest version (10...) does; I'd rather use thelater version if it didn't frreze rendomly. → Older version (3.6...) doesn't freeze randomly; but latest version (10...) does; I'd rather use the later version if it didn't frreze rendomly.
You could try testing nightly (http://nightly.mozilla.org/) several changes have been made since 10 that could help. If its still a problem you could try the about:jank addon (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/aboutjank/), it might give some clues about what the problem is.
Lawrence, Does this happen when you test in a fresh profile? https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/Managing-profiles Have you tried updating your graphics Driver, plugins, etc? Please go to about:support and copy and paste the information from there into a text document and attach it to this bug? Does it always freeze on a specific website (or type of website)? Please give some more informatino on what you have going on when it does freeze.
