(Keywords: crash, Whiteboard: [closeme 2012-04-25])
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.7; rv:10.0.2) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/10.0.2
Build ID: 20120215223356
Steps to reproduce:
I added a new account to thunderbird. Crashed immediately after adding (while validating I believe), and now crashes every time I am starting up. Get this error: Sending of password did not succeed. Mail server mail.teksavvy.com responded: Command unrecognized: "". Then crashes. I tried to start in safe mode, but it then gave me the same command, but said "command unrecognized "AMP".
Actual results:

Expected results:
should have started :) I have to force quit each time as I cannot get it to start up.

please reinstall from getthunderbird.com
do you get a crash ID?
http://support.mozillamessaging.com/en-US/kb/mozilla-crash-reporter#w_viewing-reports-outside-of-thunderbird
Severity: normal → critical
Keywords: crash
I reinstalled, made no difference. Also tried to make a new profile through profile manager, and copy the mail files from old to new, minus the newest account that seemed to be causing the problem... did not work, but thunderbird does work when I start fresh with a new profile and none of the existing account information, so appears to be a profile issue.
I can't seem to find a crash id, although I have attempted to submit. I have a crash log, but there is nothing under "submitted" the files under ~library/thunderbird/crash reports/ appear to be install files, and something called 'last crash' but it was from 2011... can't find the most recent crash files! thanks for your help!

Sounds similar problem to bug 723109 which is essentially same as bug 702111.
Crash may be a result of Null as unrecognized command in response.
Read bug 723109, and get protocol log, please.
