Description

6 years ago
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.7; rv:11.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/11.0
Build ID: 20120222074758

Steps to reproduce:

I'm trying to add a simple key shortcut for "edit" mode in my app so I used alt+e with a simple:

document.addEventListener('keydown',function(e){
//...
})

Actual results:

With all other alt+{key} it works fine, but only with alt+e on a Mac it wont fire the keydown on pressing e.

For example:
document.addEventListener('keydown',function(e){
  console.log(e.keyCode);
});

pressing alt+p for example will return with 18 then 80, but alt+e will only return 18. e doesn't seem to exist.

Expected results:

Should work like other browsers AND other keys in FF where 18 (alt) is displayed then then 69 (e). This is how Chrome works and others and how it should work.
