Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; FreeBSD amd64; rv:10.0.2) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/10.0.2
Build ID: 20120218223401
Steps to reproduce:
about:plugins
Actual results:
It only shows which plugins are installed.
Expected results:
It should also show what the plugin search paths are.
For example, I see some plugin listed on about:plugins. It's .so file isn't in ~/.mozilla/plugins and isn't in /usr/local/lib/browser_plugins. So how can I understand where did firefox find the plugin and why?

Open about:config filter by 'plugin.expose_full_path' and change to true.

That option from comment#1 is disabled by default because this is a privacy leak. Every website can read the information listed in about:plugins
