User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64) AppleWebKit/535.11 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/17.0.963.56 Safari/535.11 Steps to reproduce: We want to restart the Kyrgyz localization. The members of the team which is set for the Kyrgyz localization on the Wiki are not active since 2008 and are inaccessible through their contacts. We would like to undertake the translation as we have 20 persons willing to work on the localization. Shall we join the existing team or create the new team? Best, Alaksiej Actual results: We want to localize the FF into Kyrgyz Expected results: the team of localizers had already been set up on the Wiki, but it is dead. How do we join this team or delete it to create ours?

Dear Jo, your email contains only technical information. Could you please clarify which steps I should undertake? Shall we start the new team? Best, Alaksiej
I assume that you will be using the Cyrillic script for this localization, as that is the script used in Kyrgyzstan. However, the use of the Arabic script for Kyrgyz in China leads me to suggest using a locale code of 'ky-Cyrl'. (FTR: The Latin script was also used, historically.) Regarding the next steps for you to take, I imagine Axel would be able to instruct you on that.

Hi Gordon, I will use the cyrillic script indeed as the use of Arabic script is not so widespread. However I will use the Cyrl code as you have suggested. Axel - plz let me know whether I need to start a new team or change the existing one . Like I have said, the people who have set up the existing team are completely out of contact.
Also, we have registered a new locale https://wiki.mozilla.org/L10n:Teams:ky-cyrl. There are 25 people ready to work on localization, so I am awaiting on the info abt the next steps. I have read the manual properly, but I still dont understand where could I find the source files (it is better to have the in poEdit as I had worked with those on Drupal).
Hi all! Sorry for so long connected to the work. Now a big problem for us to give the source for translate (in any language). I take it as an ideal for the localization of accepted English version of the language file. Where and how can we get it, that would be sent to the job?
It would be great if you can point me to translated localization files. Perhaps we can create a new locale in Pootle to continue your work there. http://mozilla.locamotion.org/.
This locale registration bug is being resolved as INCOMPLETE because it has not been updated since before the final Firefox 17esr release on 2013-11-15. It is assumed that there has not been any progress in developing the desired localization since that time. If you feel this bug has been closed in error, please reopen it and provide a status update for your locale. In addition, please be sure to follow the guidelines listed on the wiki for creating a new localization: https://wiki.mozilla.org/L10n:Starting_a_localization [Mass change filter: l10n-new-incomplete-fx17esr]
