I had figured this was already a written up as a bug, but could not find anything when I did a search. Test 10 (/BIN/res/samples/test10.html) under Debug -> Viewer Demos does not dispalay. It just dispalys a back window AND the whole Mozilla browser actually acts very slow while I have that test active.
The reported platform/OS is PC/win95. Using 1999052808 on win95 (viewer and apprunner) test10.html (opacity) ... Looks _fine_ to me. (That is not to say that there is no problem on asj@ipa.net's box/build-date). asj@ipa.net: Further information/comments?

Hmmm, now I am really confused... I was also using the 1999052608 build also and that is where I had the problem. I had seen problem before a week ago or so but "assumed" it was a known bug. What sort of other information can I provide. At first I thougth maybe it was some sort of display related issue so before I posted the bug I closed all progams and reloaded 5-28-99 build of mozilla and had the problem. I do remember the demo working in the past. What suprises me not only does just a black window show, but the whole browswer acts extreamly slow while that page is loaded. Just clicking on DEBUG -> Viewer Demos is much slower. It will speed up once I change pages. What sort of other tests can I do to help track down the problem? Do you need other system information? Interesting side note that last night I also found I had to reopen another bug #4396 http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=4396 as another display/parser bug.

Tested using 6/3 Apprunner and Viewer. Opened page by: Apprunner: 'Debug/Viewer Demos' and 'File/Open' menu items Viewer: 'File/Samples' menu item No problems with page display. WORKSFORME

Given chrisD's response, I'm closing this.
I accidently found that if I put another program's window over this black screen of Mozilla then move it away part of the correct images do display. If that is any help......
