User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:10.0.2) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/10.0.2 Build ID: 20120215223356 Steps to reproduce: If you have an element with contenteditable="true" anywhere on your page (even in hidden or non-visible elements), any text selected outside of the contenteditable element cannot be copied through the context menu or the main menu. Removing the contenteditable="true" or setting it to "false" will correct this behavior. You can duplicate this behavior quickly with Firebug (or your favorite inspection tool) by adding contenteditable="true" to some element, then trying to copy the text in a different element. Incidentally, ctrl-c works just fine still though. Actual results: Cannot copy text. Expected results: Able to copy text.

Also, I did not note this problem with version 3.x or 6.x when I used older versions to confirm.

Please provide a public URL or reduced test case that exhibits this issue. Does the issue still occur if you start Firefox in Safe Mode? http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode How about with a new, empty profile? http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Basic%20Troubleshooting#w_8-make-a-new-profile
