User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:10.0.2) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/10.0.2 Build ID: 20120215223356 Steps to reproduce: In normal FF usage for a couple of days without closing it, it gets slower and slower. After a restart of the application, things get back to normal. This behavior is much worse when using Firebug to analyze (average-complexity) websites: opening 2 tabs with firebug and jumping between net and html panels, selecting text in the html panel, reloading pages => FF soon gets slow to the point of being unusable FF version: 10.0.2 on win 7 64bit Addons: Firebug, JsonView, Lazarus, AdBlock+, Yslow, Sage++, dictionaries
Do you see a high memory usage in about:memory ? Note: Firebug is a third-party extension and bug with that extension should be reported directly to the firebug team.
At startup, vsize is in the range of 250-300MB. When things start to get a "slow" feeling, it's about 1GB. The machine has 8GB ram btw. I know firebug is a 3rd party tool, but so far I can not pin down the slowness exclusively to using it - will try to disable it for a while and see if it helps...
After a couple of days running without firebug, no slowness or memory leaks detected. I think this bug can be closed
Thank you You may< want to contact the Firebug developers.
