Steps to reproduce:

How can I automatically 'export' a calendar as an .ics file when the Lightning calendar is changed? I use a great little Gadget called 'ICalendar Plus" which imports an.ics format for its data.

If there is no way to automatically 'export' a Lightning sqlite to ics when the data is changed, then is there a batch file I can insert in my boot sequence at computer startup to export the current sqlite data to an ics file which I can then link to iCalendar Plus? Or maybe an add-on?

You could use the Automatic Export extension. Or completely switch from sqlite based calendar to a ics file based calendar in Lightning.
Thanks, Stefan. Automatic Export is a good workaround. Not perfect, as the calendar gadget doesn't update immediately as Lightning is changed, but I didn't want to revert to a previous version of Lightning. I emailed the author of CalendarMark (the newest version of the Gadget) and suggested he take a look at Automatic Export.
