We need to add Unicode Editor side note in Quick L10N guide. This one gave us a lot of grief.

That's because your editor added so-called BOM to the files, Byte-Order-Mark.
As they're code points without glyphs, you don't see them.
Make sure the file settings of your editor are set to not save with BOM.

I looked through the guide to find the most appropriate place to enter this information and did so in the QA section.
