This bug is funny. I can go with the browser anywhere I want as long I click
on the certain URL...

but

if I type URL into input field, mozilla 0.8.1 DOES not jump anywhere... It simply
stays on the same page where it was PRIOR my typing

reporter: please try to follow the bug reporting guidelines, this bug is not 
helpful. at least include a buildid and a summary of when this started to 
happen (did it happen as soon as mozilla ran, or after you browsed)
WFM Linux cvs tip built today.

I had this problem also (on Macintosh).  I ended up removing my "NewCache" folder 
as well as my "Cache" folder and I haven't seen a problem since (not that I've 
tried too much though).  I'm not sure why it works to load the url by clicking as 
opposed to typing or if it's just a fluke that typing didn't work and now it does 
(and removing the folders had any affect).

Today I did few additional tests. 

A) I cleared memory cache and disk cache. Mozilla still did not like to accept
manualy entered URLs

BUT

B) when I closed mozilla and re-started it again, everything works just fine

Conclusion:
I am not able to reproduce this bug. I am assuming (without any prove) that
the bug was triggered because of the OLD cache (from mozilla 0.8)
I do not know what to do with SEVERITY ??  For now I will leave it as it is,
blocker. Let see if somebody else experience the same bug
