When I do copy/move etc. in search and then do a search again immediately, it does not recognize the messages moved into another folder--unless that folder is inbox. Filing a bug on myself.
Adding bienvenu to the cc list and nominating for nsbeta1.

I sent david imap log files and here is his response: this is a problem with the imap server - I suspect 4.x would have the same problem. What's happening is that we've already got a connection to junk, and then from another connection, we copy messages into junk. That first connection is not aware of the new messages, and so when we do the subsequent search, it doesn't return any headers. I'm not even know how to force it to be aware of the new messages other than doing a NOOP... Think of it this way - each connection has its own "picture" of the state of its folder and our imap server is lazy about keeping these states consistent between connections because it's expensive. Now, I would have thought that we would have done a NOOP before doing a search, just to download any new headers that might have shown up, which would fix this problem - generating a protocol log for the same operation with 4.x would be interesting. I would not worry about this very much for the moment. I'll ask our IMAP server guru about this and see what he recommends. - David

I checked and it is true that 4.x has the same behaviour.
