Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.7; de; rv:1.9.2.28) Gecko/20120308 Camino/2.1.2 (MultiLang) (like Firefox/3.6.28) Build ID: 20120308211433 Steps to reproduce: I successfully migrated Eudora OSE to my new MacBook Air (running 10.7.2) from an older MacBook (running 10.4.11). After a series of software updates (including MacBook EFI firmware) I am now running 10.7.3. Actual results: When I start Eudora OSE, none of the windows that were open from the last session (prior to the OS update) are visible. They are listed in the "Window" menu; if I choose one of these windows, switch to the Finder (or any other open app), and then switch back to Eudora that window appears. But when I try to "Hide Eudora OSE" with visible windows they are merely grayed out (only the main toolbar disappears). Expected results: All of the open windows should (?) be visible upon starting Eudora OSE, and all of the windows should disappear when "hiding" the app. (Hopefully then reappearing!)
A couple of other things are happening: after hitting "send" in a message, the message is sent but a blank window (no toolbar etc.) remains which cannot be closed. Also, the drop down menu from the arrow next to the "Get Mail" icon (which usually displays the list of mail accounts which can then be checked individually) is gone.
OS: All → Mac OS X
Update: after a period of app switching to "see" invisible windows which have been opened (mailboxes, messages, etc.) the normal functionality magically returns, i.e. all open windows can be seen and accessed, new windows are immediately visible and the "hide" function actually hides Eudora! I am not sure what causes this buggy behavior to disappear... at one point I thought it might have to do with opening an attachment in an email message, but that does not seem to be true 100% of the time. But I am glad that everything works – eventually. Still....
Penelope didn't see any activity in the vcs for the last 8 years, closing.
