1. go to http://people.mozilla.com/~nhirata/html_tp/dashboard.html in landscape mode 2. scroll down to the bottom 3. change orientations to portrait Expected: no graphic defect Actual: residue of the landscape orientation stays underneath the redraw of the portrait page Note: 1. Changed from bug 735307 from major graphic defect to one pixel line defect. 2. Galaxy Nexus 3/20/2012

Happens on some other pages too. Pretty sure it's a rounding error in our code.

I've seen this on arstechnica as well.

Both this and bug 739195 look like inaccuracies possibly caused by our work-arounds to avoid resampling... Could well be wrong. This isn't what I'm looking at right now, so if anyone wants to pick this up, feel free.

johnnath, try reloading the page in landscape. if the page is loaded in portrait, then you will not see the bug. Using the Galaxy Nexus, this bug can be seen at tumblr.com's login when loading into landscape; twitter.com when loading from portrait and then scrolled down in landscape; also seen in http://people.mozilla.com/~nhirata/html_tp/bug598368.html when loaded in portrait and then switched to landscape and then scrolled down. It's very slight and might be hard to notice. If you scroll once again, it will readjust. Same thing occurs on Droid Pro. Not seen on HTC Desire HD, not seen on Galaxy S II

Could this be solved by the device pixel work? (bug 744901, bug 744916, bug 744939)

I would be pretty surprised if it was fixed by switching to CSS pixels. I would be less surprised if bug 743800 fixed this by accident. I also clearly remember Patrick talking about a hack he put in to fix something that could cause 1-pixel defects, but I can't find that bug right now.

I can't reproduce this on a Galaxy Nexus or an HTC Flyer - does this still happen? Could this have been bug 743800?

Lets get a few more qawanted eyes on this for one more day. Try 1-2 more devices before we mark this WFM.

unable to reproduce on these devices. in fact, the edge of the div on the last box touches the bottom of the screen, unlike the screenshot on ICS. - Sony Xperia Play - HTC Sensation, Android 2.3.4
