User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:10.0.3) Gecko/20120314 Firefox/10.0.3 Build ID: 20120314143912 Steps to reproduce: i googled something and i tried to open a new tab with right click, when i move the cursor over the right click menu, it vanished ... same as for all the menus in the window Firefox 10.0.3 / CentOS 6 x64 proof -> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Rvd-t1dPb4
Severity: normal → critical
Component: Untriaged → Menus
Does this still happen in Firefox 11 which is the latest supported version?
Summary: cant select after right click → context menu vanishes after right-click
Does the issue still occur if you start Firefox in Safe Mode? http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode How about with a new, empty profile? http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Basic%20Troubleshooting#w_8-make-a-new-profile
Severity: critical → normal
Component: Menus → Untriaged
@tim i will provide an answer for you in a few hours, but @andre i can't provide that answer for you as CentOS doesn't support firefox 11 at the moment thanks in advance

Could you answer comment 2 please?

Try setting the following to false: * layers.acceleration.disabled Try setting the following to true: * gfx.direct2d.disabled Then restart firefox
layers.acceleration.disabled - it was false gfx.direct2d.disabled - doesn't exist in the screenshot where status = user set ... well i didn't changed them ...
Attached image shot
Possible gfx.direct2d.disabled doesn't exist and you must create it. Simply right click and create new Boolean value
upgraded firefox to 16.0.1 version through remi repo & added gfx.direct2d.disabled = true i will post if problem still exists
Have you seen the problem since? [I guess the direct2d pref is Windows-only, anyway]

i'm using the latest version provided by CentOS ( 17.0-9 ) and i haven't seen the bug since you can close the bug for now() :)
