737900 - Thunderbird toolbar in v11

I almost got a heart attack after when viewing that the toolbar disappeared (see screenshot).

Even worse, there's no option to put it back where it was.
View menu? No way. Preferences? No luck.
Toolbar customize dialog? It lets you add buttons in the tab bar or the menu bar if you wish, but you can't place the toolbar at its proper place.

And yet, you provide a we-have-updated message saying "You can customize Thunderbird however you want", as if you were mocking of us. If you're really going to modify the interface I choose to use, why don't allow us to restore it back as it was on the previous version??

There's not even an entry on the help for that.

yes this is a duplicate of bug 72413
there is a workaround (because TB is customizable via code):
