Steps to reproduce:

I entered https://www.vodafone.ro
Some page requests (including static, cacheable page content, but also dynamic XHR requests) seem to either freeze or take forever. The website works perfectly in all other browsers (Firefox 9,10,12, Chrome 18, IE 8 etc).

The requests are sent over HTTPS, with KeepAlive enabled and a caching period of 7200 seconds (2 hours).

Tried this on several Firefox 11 installations, on Windows 7.
Processor model: Intel Core 2 Duo
RAM: 2-4GB
Firebug was installed on some of the browsers (but not all) and seems unconnected to the issue.


Actual results:

Some requests freeze.
In the end (after 30s-90s) they either fail completely (showing aborted in Firebug) or end up loading in abnormally large times (30s-60s). These requests usually take 50-300ms - including in all other browsers.

For some reason, XHR requests seem to be more affected by this (taking longer to terminate) than static cacheable requests.

When the site is forcibly loaded via HTTP, everything works perfectly (3-5 seconds the entire page is loaded).



Expected results:

The website works perfectly in all other browsers (Firefox 9,10,12, Chrome 18, IE 8 etc), loading in 3-6 seconds.
Not a security-sensitive bug.

Deleted profile and made a new one + restarted firefox in safe mode (with all addons, toolbars etc disabled)
Issue still occurs, most visibly on:
https://www.vodafone.ro/shop/telefoane

Have you been able to reproduce the issue?
Issue still occurs with new profile and Firefox running in Safe Mode.

The issue always occurs on https://www.vodafone.ro/shop/telefoane

The issue occurs non-deterministically (it's harder to reproduce) in other areas of the website.

Please let me know if you need additional information to reproduce the issue.
A similar problem happens in Firefox10,11,12beta, 13.0a2 and 14.0a1 in my case.

I have also encountered a similar issue with pages loading really slowly in Firefox and really fast in other browsers.
