A la http://userstyles.org/styles/37319/fx11-autohide-add-on-bar, we should have an option under View>Toolbars to auto-hide the add-on toolbar.
Hi Alex, I want to work on this bug and add this feature. I've uploaded three patches for three good first bugs (some are being reviewed), and this is my first time to work on none good first bug. How to start working on it? Which part of codes I should read? Thank you!

Hi Ye - thanks for offering to help! I'm actually not sure what the best way to go about implementing this feature would be (I'm not a developer) - I'd check out the #introduction or #developers room on IRC to get pointers on where to start. See https://wiki.mozilla.org/IRC if you need info on how to connect to IRC. Thanks again!

I see bug 749804 to remove add-on bar and move content in navigation bar so this bug might not be necessary.

people who use loads of addons (like me) , it's easy to keep my addons shortcuts, buttons etc for easy accessibility. add-ons continue to default to placing icons et cetera in the bottom bar is the way That why people love Mozilla ,because of it's customization Most People FF & hate chrome(which fills up the nav/address bar, which people like clean) So please Do-not Remove the Feature & do add a auto-hiding feature
