User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux i686; rv:11.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/11.0 Build ID: 20120310193829 Steps to reproduce: Attempt to install Oracle Java Plugin found here: http://www.java.com/en/download/linux_manual.jsp?locale=en following instructions listed here: http://sites.google.com/site/easylinuxtipsproject/java OS: Ubuntu 10.04 LTS Lucid Lynx Platform: Dell 1525 Inspiron Actual results: Nothing. Java plugin does not work. When entering "about:plugins" in address bar, java plugin is not listed. When testing for java at java.com, no java is detected. Expected results: Java plugin should work. When entering "about:plugins" in address bar, java plugin should appear in list. When testing for java at java.com, latest version of java should be detected. Attached is a script that can be used to repeat procedure.

I don't see a bug here ATM - but leaving open in case someone disagrees. Your best bet is likely to try and get assistance by visiting the Firefox help site -> https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/ask
Bugzilla is not for support questions and my old JRE1.6U24 works fine with Firefox11 on Ubuntu10.04 LTS

BTW: Be sure that Java is not disabled under tools/addons/plugins
