Details

A blog post about a new seek preview feature in youtube made me to wonder if it possible to port a thumbnail frame preview to media files within Firefox internal video player. While it could be a bit difficult to preview parts of the media that have not downloaded yet (but possible by downloading random chunks and not the whole file in one request), showing some keyframes which could help the user decide where are the good parts they should seek to.
