User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux i686; rv:11.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/11.0 Build ID: 20120310010757 Steps to reproduce: Downloaded a PDF file which was OK, cleared download history and closed web page tab. Actual results: Every time I start Firefox, the same PDF file is downloaded. I have never experienced this before. Expected results: File should not be automatically downloaded every time
What is your homepage setting?
(In reply to Tim (fmdeveloper) from comment #1) > What is your homepage setting? I have it set to google.co.uk. I also have it so it reloads last used tabs. The page that had the pdf is no longer selected, The pdf is the manual for Okular for KDE
Chances are the download "tab" is still being restored....check the contents of sessionstore.js in your Firefox profile folder
(In reply to Tim (fmdeveloper) from comment #3) > Chances are the download "tab" is still being restored....check the contents > of sessionstore.js in your Firefox profile folder I think youare correct, the download tab seems to be the problem. I couldn't open the sessionstore.js file for some reason. However I deleted the file and that has cured the problem Thanks
