Firefox 14.0a1 (2012-03-25) Device: Samsung Galaxy S OS: Android 2.2 Steps to reproduce: 1. Open Fennec 2. Go to litmus.mozilla.org 3. Log in and save password 4. Go back to log in page 5. Go to Menu > More > Clear Site Settings and tap on Clear button 6. Tap on Log in button 7. Wait until the page is fully loaded and tap on Remember button from the Password Manager door hanger Expected result: After step 4, username and password text fields will be auto-filled with the credentials saved at step 3 After step 5, the text fields still remain auto-filled. After step 7, we have to choose something between: a) password will be remembered and it will be still present in password text field b) password manager door hanger will be dismissed automatically when the page is fully loaded Actual result: After step 7, even if the Remember button is tapped, nothing is saved in password manager db. Even if the page is reloaded, only the username will be available.
I am able to reproduce this issue on the Desktop side too. Also I guess that it would be another way to resolve this issue: c) when tapping on Clear button, the page should be refreshed automatically. In this way, the username field will remain auto-filled while the password field will be blank.
Seems bad, needs more reproducing.
so are you saying the saved password goes blank after you hit the clear site settings button? i'm wondering if this has always been this way. Can you try it on an older firefox build or fennec xul build and see if it reproduces?

Can you > try it on an older firefox build or fennec xul build and see if it > reproduces? I tried to reproduce this on an older XUL version (XUL Nightly - 7.0a1) and there it was the same behavior as for Native. Please see the following video: http://youtu.be/Xy8JoIP3P3Q
I've tried reproducing this issue on Desktop using the following environment: Build identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:14.0) Gecko/20120325 Firefox/14.0a1 Build Id:20120325031055 OS: Windows 7 x64 I've used a different site due to the fact that litmus.mozilla.org no longer exists. From the Desktop side this bug is not reproducible.
Resolving this bug incomplete. Cristian, please reopen this bug if you can provide detailed steps to reproduce using the latest Firefox Nightly.
