(Whiteboard: Telemetry -- needs PM project priority)
In 2011-Q4, bug 693340 asked for info regarding the detected usage of e4x.
Last week, Jonas asked for new figures from the latest release.
Saptarshi ran a query for all Firefox 10 release versions for the entire month of 2012-02. The results are that 95.87% of Telemetry submissions have a value of 0 for simpleMeasurements.js.e4x

Thanks Daniel!
Unfortunately not as low as we had hoped. Of course, the measurement is really coarse; there may be some simple rare event that is triggering all/most of these that doesn't really mean content is using E4X. I should run a browser under a debugger for a day to see if and why it hits.

We delivered the original request a while back. If we need to revisit this again in the future, please go ahead and open a new ticket.
