Details
(Whiteboard: [closeme 2012-05-10])
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.6; rv:12.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/12.0
Build ID: 20120321033733
Steps to reproduce:
I copied a text from a web page or other application.
Actual results:
I can't paste unformatted text on a textarea element.
Expected results:
There should be an option in the menu to paste unformatted text (ie. "Paste and Match Style" associated to CTRL (Windows and Linux or CMD on Mac) + SHIFT + V).
There should also be the option in the contextual menu when right-clicking in the textarea.

Do you want to paste plain text version of the clipboard contents into a rich text editor? That was implemented in bug 410986: Cmd(Ctrl)+Alt+Shift+V

And see bug 476837 for the context menu request.

Er, it's Ctrl+Shift+V on windows/linux (although I've not tested that either). The *Mac* shortcut is Cmd+Alt+Shift+V.

Good to hear, and I agree. The feature should be discoverable by applications menus and context menu.
