Steps to reproduce:

For the last week or so, my mouse pointer disappears when moved or when hovered over certain items such as bookmarks in bookmarks bar or other widgets. Only fix is to quit the browser. It cannot be reproduced by any method that I have found, it happens randomly.

Does the issue still occur if you start Firefox in Safe Mode? http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode

How about with a new, empty profile? http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Basic%20Troubleshooting#w_8-make-a-new-profile
