On the initial paint of a page, some (random) images are incompletely painted or corrupted. This occurs with icons, throbber, and images in pages. The man UI icons have been unaffected as far as I can tell. If the page is minimized or another windows is moved over the image the repaint that occurs is correct. I had the same behavior several months back. It does not happen in Mozilla 0.8.1 but has happened in every nightly build (mozilla-win32-installer.exe) since the tree opened back up after the freeze. I am enclosing some screenshots demonstrating this behavoir (yes they captured...)
pav, dup of 73195?
I had originally thought this was limited to JPEG files, but the banner for Google is a GIF.
