[news&blogs] clicking on some links should not open a thunderbird tab together with the default browser

User Agent: Opera/9.80 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; U; Edition Next; de) Presto/2.10.282 Version/12.00
Steps to reproduce:
I have a lot of feeds in my thunderbird (v11.0.1). One example is the heise online newsticker. Some Links, like "Kotaku" in the page:
http://www.heise.de/newsticker/meldung/Naechste-Playstation-Orbis-soll-2013-erscheinen-1486412.html
have problems in thunderbird
Actual results:
When clicking a link thunderbird should open the url with the default browser. This is the case for all links. But some Links are opened in the default browser AND a new tab inside of thunderbird. Closing the tab, reloads the news entry, so the scroll offset is lost, too.
Expected results:
No link in a Feed/Blog should trigger a new browsing tab in Thunderbird.

Double-clicking the message opens it in a new tab/window, clicking the link opens it in the browser. This is how it works for me. Maybe you have some add-ons installed which change the behavior?

Thanks for your reply. But i have no such add-ons installed. And the problem is only on some links. These are opened in a browser in a new tab. But in Thunderbird they are opened twice (in the system default browser, and a tab in thunderbird).

I subscribed to RSS of that website and followed the link you listed above. I only get it opened in the browser, it is not being opened in Thunderbird (in a separate tab).

Holger when it happens are there any messages in Tools -> Error console ? Also if your restart Thunderbird in safe mode , help-> restart Thunderbird with extensions disabled, do you still have the issue ?

I have only messages about the new webpage itself in the error console (error in parsing css like: background:-webkit-gradient). I have the same issue in safe mode...
Heise has a few feeds, i use http://www.heise.de/newsticker/heise-atom.xml
No change when changing
"options/advanced/reading&display/open messages in" to
"new tab", "a new message window", "existing tab". I was just checking.
in about:config i have
browser.link.open_newwindow at the default 3
browser.link.open_newwindow_restriction at the default 0

With 13.0.1 the page is still opened in the default browser opera and a new thunderbird tab. But after closing the tab, the news is reloaded(so the scrolloffset is lost, but not the active page itself).

I don't know when, but right now the issue is fixed in TB 38.
