User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.7; rv:11.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/11.0 Build ID: 20120312181643 Steps to reproduce: 1. Added some RSS/Atom feeds as live bookmarks 2. Restarted the browser 3. Right clicked and "reloaded" the live bookmark 4. Opened any of the live bookmarks (through the bookmark bar or the "bookmarks" main menu item) Steps 2 and 3 are optional. Just mentioning them for clarification. Example feeds that I use: http://www.heise.de/newsticker/heise-atom.xml http://www.tagesschau.de/xml/rss2 Actual results: Firefox displays an eternal* error message "live bookmark failed to load" in the live bookmark even though the bookmark seems to load properly, i. e. the latest news are displayed correctly in the live bookmark. See attached screen shot. *: I've had this problem for at least a couple of months Expected results: Firefox should not display an error message if there is no error.
BTW: removing and re-adding the live bookmarks doesn't help.

On Mac the popup views don't work correctly, if you use the bookmarks button it should be fine though.

I mean, they don't work correctly from the native menubar.
I'm not sure what you mean by "bookmarks button", but if you mean the button at the top right of the browser window: no, it doesn't work there either. So it doesn't work correctly in: 1: bookmark bar 2: native bookmark menu 3: bookmark button (top right) The only place where it does seem to work correctly is in the bookmarks sidebar.

ah wait, based on the screenshot this is the old livemarks implementation, we have a new one in FF13. This issue (apart the native menubar) could already be fixed in Firefox 13.
No longer blocks: livemarksIO

It looks like this was possible fixed in FF 13. We haven't had more reports similar to this in the last 6 years, so I'm marking as WFM. If it is still an issue in the latest Firefox, please feel free to re-open or file a new bug with more details.
