Steps to reproduce:

Sad story. Something is not working correctly on the hardware side of things. Either the card itself is bad, or there is a compatibility problem with the motherboard. I've tried everything I can from the software side, the kernel see's the card, but can't read the firmware version or capture from it. The problem maybe related to PCIe and power mangement, booting with pcie_aspm=force made no difference however, if thats related or not its out of our hands being either a kernel or bios update issue. When googling for t1600 bios and PCIe cards, I found some reports of problems, but they were solved by the A10 bios version, which is what is on the box right now.

I advise testing the capture card on another computer.

blackmagic: hardware device is not usable, please run firmware utility to check firmware version status
