Build: 03-29 Win32 Mtrunk OS: Win2k Simp. Chinese Not reproducible: WinME-ja 03-09 and mac 03-30 trunk build. Steps to reproduce: 1. Launch the trunk build and open Composer. 2. Create a file which contains double byte characters and save it as double byte encoding(shift-jis, euc-jp, bug5. gb2312...etc). 3. Browser it and go View | Page Source. Result: Those Japanese or Chinese characters are displayed garbled. It works fine with a few days trunk build though.
I think you reported a similar problem before. Is this different?
The problem was same however it was on Mac and not reproducible on today's build, and this one is on Win2k Simp. Chinese.
I think we want to keep it as one bug so we can accumulate information. I do not have simplified Chinese system. Please update this bug if you find a reproducible procedure on English system.
