Description

Hi Matej - we are working with an agency to produce a launch video for the upcoming native UI release in June, and will need some copy help to put together a script for them. It's a short 1 minute animated video. I will provide messaging points and further details.

Thanks!

What's the timing/deadline on this? Any more info about what you're looking for, what you want to communicate and what the animation style might be would be greatly appreciated as well. Thanks!

Would ideally like to review draft scripts early next week to socialize with Product Marketing and the appropriate Engagement folks. Once finalized, would share script as foundation for work with the Partner selected.

Internal Project page (with Creative brief from Product Marketing) and link to concepts presented available at:

Matej - do you have everything you need to get started?

It would be better if I knew which visual approach we were going with so I could write some copy tailored to that. Looks like there are some more concepts coming in. Any idea when we'll see those? Do you like concept 1 from what has already been presented enough that I can write to that for now (and then tweak as necessary)? Also, will the copy be VO or supers?

I would recommend a quick call between Matej, Jaclyn and Tara to work through the details of what is & isn't needed here. Probably a lot easier to cover this stuff in real time rather than in back & forth bug comments or emails.

One follow-up thought here...re: comment #3, I'm not sure how realistic it is to have a draft script ready by early next week given that the concept is still so in flux.

I do think there are plenty of things Matej can work on now, such as fleshing out the content outline and working with Jaclyn on what the proper benefits are for each feature (and starting on how to articulate them). But, I'd prefer to wait on doing the actual script until we can write it to the exact concept.

How does that sound?

Sounds good - for our Thursday meeting we can focus on the content and how to articulate the benefits

Hello. Any timeline related to the content exploration / outline that John mentions above? I understand that we're not talking about a rough script, but rather a walk through of the browsers features (without using bullet points)

".. fleshing out the content outline and working with Jaclyn on what the proper benefits are for each feature (and starting on how to articulate them) ..."

thanks

I had a meeting with Jaclyn and Tara yesterday, so I'm more caught up on the process and what's needed. I should be able to have a draft or two of the content overview by about Wednesday or Thursday of next week.

Thanks Matej. Just to reiterate, this is really just the initial guiding document vs. a formal "script". I see this as the first master document that captures the overall messages we want to communicate which will feed into the final script. It's a drafted script / messaging guideline regarding how we'd like to talk about the functionality of FF for Android (which benefit points we present, and how we speak about them). It should obviously have the right tone and polish (so it's not just a dump of information) but the agency will use this to then build out their concept and storyboards. We'll then work together (and with you) to finalize a script that carries the appropriate rhythm and so forth. Hope that helps. Please ping if you have any questions. thanks again.
