Fennec/14.0a1 2012-04-05
Device: Motorola Droid 2(Android 2.3)

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open Nightly.
2. Open the Menu and choose More->Settings.
3. Choose Sync and wait for the JPAKE code to be generated.

Expected results:
The JPAKE code is generated in a few seconds.

Actual results:
When the JPAKE scene is opened for the first time it takes up to 7 to 8 seconds for the code to be generated.
I am unable to reproduce the issue on other devices.

Wow, that's really slow. It should be on the order of milliseconds, maybe a second or two if the phone needs to establish a data connection.

Could you please attach an `adb logcat -v time`?

Thanks!

JPAKE generate logs

Adrian, do you have logs for the next ten or so seconds after this point?

This looks to me like it takes three and a half seconds to connect to your wireless network, then three seconds to make an HTTP request (presumably having to wait for DNS configuration etc.)

Are you able to test on a different network?

Adding more extended logs from before accessing the JPAKE screen and 20 seconds after.

I do not have access to other networks to test the issue. I can confirm that I am seeing issues with the Droid 2 loosing the network connection from time to time which may be the cause of the problem but also the issue is not seen on other devices connected to the same network.
It sounds like you're hitting what appears to be widespread problems with wifi on the Droid 2, characterized by it frequently and unexpectedly losing the network connection and having to re-establish it. This was supposed to be fixed with the 2.3 update, but I see lots of complaints that it's not.

I'm going to close this as INCOMPLETE; please reopen if you can reproduce this on a cellular network or with a different device.
