Details
After BrowserID signin, I kept getting a message telling me that my account was awaiting activation. It turns out that this is because I signed in with the primary email address for my BrowserID/Persona identity which happens to be my personal email address. My @mozilla.com address is an additional email address associated with my BrowserID identity. The only way I could change the email address I sign in with while I get this was by deleting the Pancake app and reinstalling it.
I haven't been able to re-produce this bug because both of my email addresses now work properly for signing in.

You can also just kill the app by tapping the iPad home button twice. Not ideal, I know. Will think about a better solution.

I did that before I deleted the app and re-installed. I'll see if I can re-create the original issue and verify that killing the app doesn't solve the issue.

we've redone the setup flow -- you might still hit this with a non-mozilla email, but that won't be an issue once we go live
