on Mozilla 0.8.1, Address Collection is not working. "Collected Address" is empty. Of course, I enabled Address Collection in Preferences. I installed Mozilla 0.8.1 after using Mozilla 0.7. But I installed two Mozilla in different directories.

I tested on newly installed Mozilla 0.8.1 in another environment. Then, Address collection is working well. So, this bug is emerging on the upgrade, probably.

I think this is a big step back. The millions of Netscape 6 users who are upgrading and find collection no longer works will be p**d off. (Not to belittle Mozilla users, there just are less of them.)
removing nsbranch. Esther, I know we've seen some problems with corruption, but have we seen that upgrading from 6.0 to 6.1 prevent the collected address book from working?

Actually, I am seeing that address collection is not working at all in NS6.1b1, clean install (I got a new machine). Is it working for somebody else?
I just tried this. It worked for me, but the name didn't show up until after I switched from Collected AB to a different folder and back again.
It is working on my Win2000 using build 2001062503. I didn't have the problem Putterman has.
This is definitely a big bug!!! I install mozilla in different directories (mozilla and mozilla2), so that if I download a bad nightly I can switch back using a different icon... So I'm always using different directories.. Now my collected address list is empty, no matter which directory I use (sometimes I used mozilla-0.8 etc), and it's not growing at all (of course I have this feature enabled). Any help would be greatly appreciated... Perhaps Mozilla stores a directory path for these files?
Is it fixed? I saw another bug talking about "collect should exclude some domains" If the collect function itself does not work, how can they talk about "collect should exclude some domains." I am so eager to have this function resumed.. :)
I re-tested this bug using Win32 (2001-08-06-06 trunk) Mac (2001-08-06-08 trunk) Linux (2001-08-06-06 trunk) Address Collection is working. Mark it worksforme. Please re-open if disagree
