User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64) AppleWebKit/535.7 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/16.0.912.63 Safari/535.7

Steps to reproduce:

I was downloading a really big file, more than 2gb of size.

Actual results:

The downloaded counter, get overflowed, so it started to count negative bytes.

Expected results:

Still counting bytes over 2gb. I recomend to use a unsigned int, or eve long, because you can't count never negative bytes.
What is your used Firefox version and do you use a 32bit or 64bit build ?
I can't reproduce this with Firefox11 on Windows7/32 and a 3GB file via http (Apache)
I'm using windows 7 x64, and one important thing is that, firefox couldn't detect the complete size of the file, it's only grows while the file grows. You know what i mean?
that's http without content-lengt header. Do you have an example URL ?

That is not the question. Do you have a 32bit Firefox build or an unofficial 64bit one and which Firefox version do you use ?
Firefox3.6, Firefox11, Firefox12, Firefox13, Firefox14...
Oh sorry about bit version. I was using Firefox 12, official x86.

I was trying to download this file from youtube, using Video Download helper (latest version) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j9Ozvef7CvQ
The link to that video is http://goo.gl/rovBL (used URL shortener).
Note: This link is using a server in europe due to my location (geo load balancing).

I'm using a direct link because addons can have an influence or cause this issue.
Firefox 11 gets the http headers to calculate the size and directly shows 2,2GB as filesize while downloading and I get no overflow.

This same issue just happened to me. I am using Windows 7 x64 and Firefox 19.0. The file was downloaded using Video Download Helper 4.9.13. Other extensions:
Adblock Plus 2.2.3
Firebug 1.11.2
StumbleUpon 4.16

So...the bug may originate from Video Download Helper?
Same problem here, also initiated via (video) DownloadHelper. Help -> About shows Firefox 23.0
I should add that during the download it did not show any percentage or progress bar, only how much had been downloaded. Also, for a while the download speed was also negative (presumable due to going from 2gb to a negative number).
I think this is "Video Download Helper" problem.

This looks like an add-on bug. But it looks like its fixed in their betas.
