User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:11.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/11.0 Build ID: 20120312181643 Steps to reproduce: I have a PHP script on my server which can switch style sheets. It works fine in all other browsers and other machines except my desktop Firefox. The author of the script advised that I must log off of the admin part of the program, to solve style display problems. I did that and the problem persists. My site is here, but you will not be able to recreate the problem, which occurs only on my desktop. http://roamincatholics.com/linknet. When I first load my page, it display correctly in my default style "Blue 2". When I click on the Style button to the right on my menu to change a style, it simply doesn't work. But when I click on another link on my page, such as "Arts" or "Businesses" near the top, the style changes to "1000PX"! And when I click on the logo on my page, which reloads the page, the style mysteriously changes to "1000PX". This video shows you what happens on my desktop: http://www.screencast.com/t/h4Rff3iy3N The script is called Link Up Gold, from http://www.phpwebscripts.com. Actual results: Clicking the backbutton gets back to the correct style, but doesn't fix the problem. I attempted to solve the problem with cache flushing, closing and reopening the program, unistalling and reinstalling Firefox, and disabling all add-ons and cleaning the registry. Nothing solves the problem. Expected results: The Style buttons on my page should load new styles. Nothing else should cause style changes. My site behaves correctly on other machines and with other browsers, IE9, Chrome and Opera. So I'm skeptical that the problem is the script, although the author did do some non-style related modifications to it for me. So it seems to me that my desktop Firefox installation is 'remembering' a style and loading it at the wrong time. I should mention that, when I reinstalled Firefox, I didn't delete passwords, etc. and whatever else Firefox 'remembers' between installs.
This problem is resolved. The author of the script advised me to delete a cookie, by logging out as a user at both www.domain and domain without www., then close and reopen my Firefox. He also pointed out that I had used www. in my main configuration to point the script to where it's scripts resided. I've removed the www. in the configuration and everything seems to be working OK. The problem was chronic with Firefox, probably because I was logging on as both admin and a user with it in recent weeks.
