Details

Software:   Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:11.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/11.0 -
            Build ID: 20120312181643
            "Release" channel, 'check for updates' reports I'm current
            Includes a collection of about 20 extensions
System S/W: Windows XP Pro SP3
Hardware:   Dell E1705 laptop

This is NEW behavior with version 11.0 This site, and the animation has always worked properly with my extension set, back to at least Version 3.5.

How to reproduce:
I launch the weather radar animation, from a saved bookmark with the URL:
  <http://www.wunderground.com/radar/radblast.asp?ID=LOT&lat=41.95389938&lon=-87.66174316&label=Chicago%2C+IL&type=N0R&zoommode=pan&map.x=400&map.y=240&centerx=477&centery=163&prevzoom=zoom&num=10&delay=25&scale=0.75&showlabels=1&smooth=0&noclutter=0&showstorms=99&rainsnow=1&lightning=1&remembersettings=on&setprefs.0.key=RADNUM&setprefs.0.val=10&setprefs.1.key=RADSPD&setprefs.1.val=25&setprefs.2.key=RADC&setprefs.2.val=0&setprefs.3.key=RADSTM&setprefs.3.val=99&setprefs.4.key=SLABS&setprefs.4.val=1&setprefs.5.key=RADRMS&setprefs.5.val=1&setprefs.6.key=RADLIT&setprefs.6.val=1&setprefs.7.key=RADSMO&setprefs.7.val=0>

It loads, and runs properly "for a while". But, after a random time (a few minutes to several hours), it FREEZES. This occurs at unpredictable frames within the animation loop.

Since installing V. 11, I have -NEVER- gotten this loop to run 'reliably'. With prior versions -- from 10.0.2, all the way back to 3.5, and earlier -- it has run always run for days to *weeks* without error.

Firefox does _NOT_ 'lock up' entirely -- it is just the animation that stalls. Clicking 'reload' _does_ work, the page re-loads, and the animation takes up -- at least until the next 'freeze'. <wry grin>

Also, things like timed 'refresh' in other Firefox Windows is not affected.

I see the same behavior regardless of whether the 'wunderground' window is on
'top', is 'open' but not on top, or is minimized.

To quote a line from a famous Yul Brynner role: 'Tis a Puzzlement!
