Hey,
I don't have a lot of time to write this, sorry.
I'm working with Zope (http://www.zope.org). They have management screens that
let you add objects to your website and such. This html has probably been
served up 10^6 times or so. In Mozilla 0.8.1 I look at it and instead of
giving me a lot of options (in a drop down), the dropdown is empty and the
options are all there in normal text. I took out the source to the frame and
stuck it here:
http://www.rootnode.com/Members/cranmer/error
it's not going to let you do anything b/c it's password protected, but you
should be able to see the rendering error.
I thought the error might be in the line:
<input class="form-element" type="submit" name="submit" value=" Add " />
but when I take out the spaces around 'Add' or remove the '/' I still see
errors. For instance
http://www.rootnode.com/Members/cranmer/error2
Anyways, the site uses CSS which you can examine here:
http://www.rootnode.com/global_css/view_source
I hope this helps. It's my first bugzilla report, so sorry if I missed
something. The browser also doesn't give me any other options than "other" on
the "Version" option box on the bug report page, so that might be wrong in
particular.

Kyle, thank you for the thorough bug report. The problem does indeed lie in the
/ ending an HTML tag, but it's the one in
<select class="form-element" name=":action"
onChange="location.href='http://localhost/testfolder/'+this.options[this.selectedIndex].value"
/>
This tells us it's an empty <select> tag, so none of those <option>s are
enclosed in the select.
This is a known bug in Zope 2.3.0. See
http://classic.zope.org:8080/Collector/2020/view?pp=1 -- that includes the
problem description and a patch.
