Poor monsters. Sean, do you have anything we could put there? Just to add a bit of color to the otherwise fairly drab page -- especially since it's the first impression a lot of people will have when visiting Marketplace.

(Also, the brand toolkit should be updated to remove the monsters.)

We're retiring the brand toolkit this quarter and replacing it with an organization-wide style guide for brands/sites/products/projects.

As for what to put there, if it is an introduction to the marketplace, it should probably be something to do with the logo. Is this just a one-off landing page entry point or is there more to the flow after this page?

Here are some tweaks to the copy from comment 0. I feel like we don't need to call out developers twice, since we have a separate space for them at the bottom (that copy looks great, btw), so here's what I'm thinking:

Our doors are now open to Mozillians, but look for the full beta launch soon.


If we need to reference devs in the intro blurb, then we can do this:

Please can we use the cardboard box graphic that Lee provided for the MMO homepage?

Also, the name of this launch needs to be "Mozillians Preview Release" NOT "Friends & family beta"

The reason we mention it twice is so that app developers know that they can log in, even if they don't have Mozillian accounts. Additionally, I think we should clarify what "Mozillians" means. There are probably a lot of people out there that consider themselves Mozillians but don't have an @mozilla.com address and aren't signed up for the Mozillians site.

Other than that, I like the copy changes, Matej.

Where did Lee provide a graphic? Also, "Mozillians Preview Release" is so pedestrian.

Just to clarify, it was Ty that designed that image.

Does that mean that only people with a mozilla.com email will be able to access it? I was under the impression it was all Mozillians. If that's not the case, we'll also have to change the wording on the other page.

If it is open to all Mozillians, I don't think we need to do too much explaining here. Maybe just link the word to mozillians.org?

As for the developer part, if they're able to access the site as well, that might also affect the wording on the other page.

Given that this is a pre-beta launch not intended for the general public, I think it's better to be clear than clever on this one. Things may need to be tweaked based on some of the answers above, but here's how I see the copy at this point:

Mozillians preview release
Our doors are now open to <a>Mozillians</a> and app developers. Look for the full beta launch soon.
