User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.2.3) Gecko/20100423 Ubuntu/10.04 (lucid) Firefox/3.6.3 Build ID: 20120302180724 Steps to reproduce: This problem happens on Firefox 11 beta for 12 in a slightly different form. In both cases, I'm having troubles deleting spaces immediately a word. Follow the steps below. I'm using the default keyboard on Android 3.2.1. My device, a Toshiba Thrive, doesn't have a physical navigation keys. 1. Put the caret at the start of a word. 2. The auto-complete will immediately move the caret to the end of the word. 3. Attempt to delete the word so you can delete space and retype the word. 4. Firefox 11 will move the caret again in an expected. Firefox 12 will handle this correctly . 5. While typing report , I noticed the caret moving randomly . This seems to happen mainly when I am typing on a line that has a line break after the caret. The caret will move to just afet the character following the line break. Actual results: The caret moves at unexpected times. Expected results: The caret should stay where user puts it
Hi Will, Can you try out a newer Firefox build and see if the problem persists? We have available nightly Firefox builds at http://nightly.mozilla.org (at the bottom, Android). Let us know if the issue is still happening in Nightly.

Not at this time. For security reasons, I'm only using apps I can install through Google Play.
I'm now using Go's keyboard and seeing just one change Firefox 11: suggestions are missing. I should also note that Go has an extension for tablets that adds keys that probably emulate the physical direction keys some devices. For me in Firefox 11, these work only in the address bar.
Using Go's keyboard, the delete and unexpected caret movement issues are fixed. The other problems are still there.
firefox 12 was just deployed to beta yesterday on google play. can you try there as well?
