User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:12.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/12.0
Build ID: 20120420145725
Steps to reproduce:
Upgraded Thunderbird to version 12 and Lightning to version 1.4
Actual results:
I receive emails with event invitations, but there are no options to accept/tentative/decline.
Expected results:
Should have worked normally allowing me to respond to event invites and add them to my calendar.

Do you mean it worked in the previous Thunderbird 11 / Lightning 1.3 release?
Do you see any error or warning messages in Tools > Error Console?
Do use other extensions that modify the message pane and might conflict with Lightning?
Component: General → E-mail based Scheduling (iTIP/iMIP)
QA Contact: general → email-scheduling
It was working before the upgrade.
I switched to a Google web based calender, worked fine at first.
Here is the error I am getting in the Error Console when I open an email with an event invite:
Timestamp: 4/30/2012 3:02:39 PM
Error: itipItem.targetCalendar is null
