Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux i686; rv:11.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/11.0
Build ID: 20120310193444

Steps to reproduce:

Saved multiple web pages to disk.

Actual results:

"Downloads Complete" notification insists on popping up randomly, stealing keyboard focus while I'm attempting to issue "Alt-F S" commands.

Expected results:

Firefox should be bright enough to realize that someone who has taken the trouble to disable the "Show the downloads window when downloading a file" feature in Edit-Preferences-General really doesn't want to be nagged with yet another similar "feature.

After hunting around, I've found this: browser.download.manager.showAlertOnComplete
But I really feel like I shouldn't have to mess with this.

(It could be that Edit-Prefs should allow you to set more general policies, like "nag tolerance: low", "mouse tolerance: low", etc.)
Moving to preferences. I don't get the notification in Firefox Nightly or 12, though (with the pref disabled). Could you try with a clean profile?
