Steps to reproduce:
I launched Firefox from the Mac OSX terminal with the following command:
open /Applications/Firefox.app/
Actual results:
All Japanese text were replaced by blank strings.
Expected results:
The Japanese text should be visible.

sorry for this late answer at first.
can you please check this on your side again? on a short test i was not able to reproduce this problem.
