Details

Steps to reproduce: 1) build Firefox with --enable-gstreamer on Ubuntu 12.04 2) view some WebM or H264 video that's embedded using the video element using the browser-provided controls e.g. http://hsivonen.iki.fi/hourglass/ and http://hsivonen.iki.fi/test/moz/video-selection/src-mp4.html Actual results: The video element draws text that claims that the video file is corrupt even though the file plays in Totem. Theora videos play OK. Expected results: Expected WebM videos to always play. Expected H.264 videos to play if Totem is able to play them. Additional info: Things were OK under Ubuntu 11.10.
No idea what happened, but this started working (without rebuilding Firefox).
